Homelab

My homelab is where I explore the intersection of research and practical infrastructure. What started as a curiosity about self-hosting has evolved into a comprehensive testing ground for power system simulation, real-time data processing, and distributed computing experiments.

Beyond the typical file servers and media streaming, I use my setup to prototype the same technologies I research professionally - containerized microservices, time-series databases for power grid data, and real-time communication protocols. It’s become an invaluable extension of my academic work, allowing me to validate theoretical concepts in a real-world environment.

There’s something deeply satisfying about running your own infrastructure - from the initial hardware selection and network design to the late-night troubleshooting sessions that teach you more than any textbook ever could.
